Agnes Julia Laiss passed away at Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre on the morning of Monday, September 2, 2019 at the age of 82 years.
Very involved with the Farmer’s Market circuit, Agnes was especially known for her remarkable sewing skills. During the Christmas season, her home was a wonder to see with a Christmas Village that took up much of the space. She was a collector of rocks, stamps, salt and pepper shakers, but most valuable was the collection she and Bert created together. The unconditional love she had for her family will forever be cherished.
Agnes will forever be loved and remembered by her children, Debra (Dennis) Martin, Sandra (Mike) Jackson, Jo-Anne Safronovich, Rick (Linda) Laiss, Colin (Patty) Laiss, Kevin (Cynthia) Laiss, Mark (Shirley) Laiss and B.J. (Maple-Rose) Laiss; 21 grandchildren, David, Dana, Dawn, Kelly, Joseph, Jonathan, Patrick, Anessa, Brady, Crystal, Cameron, Reanna, Stephanie, Brandon, Caitlin, Kerrstyn, Sydney, Zachary, Mackenzie, Madeline and Mattias, along with their spouses; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Joseph Letendre; several nieces, nephews, extended family and long-time friends.
Agnes is predeceased by her husband, Bert; parents, John and Madeleine Letendre; sisters, Mathilda and Marie; brother, Tony and son-in-law, Wayne Safronovich.
Funeral Services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Tomahawk, Alberta on Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Marshall officiating. Interment will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
