Obituary

Idalino Correia

1939 – 2020

It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Idalino Correia at the age of 81 years.

Idalino moved to Ontario with his family from Portugal in 1971. He worked in a Brampton factory as a screen weaver and raised his young family.  He cherished being a grandpa and his face was illuminated whenever you saw them together. An avid soccer fan, he was a faithful supporter of the Santa Clara team

Idalino will be lovingly remembered by his son, Herminio; his sisters, Natalia Duarte, Maria Jose Cabral (Idelberto), Deodata Da Silva (Joe), Gabriela De Melo (Art) and Maria Helena Remy; brother-in-law, Art DaCosta (Lori); grandchildren, AJ Correia, Sara Tait, and Dillon Correia (Victoria Arruda), as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Idalino was predeceased by his wife, Adriana; his parents, Maria and Manuel Correia; his son, Artur; sister-in-law, Gloria DaCosta; brother-in-law, Thomas Remy and grandsons Cliff Correia and Tony Froude.

Cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Idalino’s Life will be held at a later date.

The family would like to express their heart-felt gratitude for the care and support given by Dr. White and the Drayton Valley Home Care team.
